Adhisthana
Adhisthana has become known as a spiritual home for Triratna since it opened in 2013. They run a programme of retreats but it isn't quite a retreat centre - that is only one element of what happens there. It was Sangharakshita's final home and is his resting place, as well as being home to two residential communities, the Sangharakshita Library, and longer residential Dharma training courses.
Adhisthana hosts meetings of various bodies of people who carry responsibilities both locally and internationally within Triratna, such as the International Council and the College of Public Preceptors. They also hold large gatherings such as Order weekends and Conventions, the Triratna International Retreat, Young Buddhist's and Gender Diverse retreats, as well as a programme of meditation and practice retreats, study seminars, retreats training in teaching and communicating the Dharma, and retreats encouraging the growth of a vibrant Buddhist culture and movement contributing to the world.
