Dharmagiri

Dharmagiri or 'the hill where the Dharma is practiced' is the Retreat Centre belonging to the Triratna sangha in Stockholm, Sweden (Buddhistiska gemenskapen Triratna in Swedish). It lies not far from the mighty river Dalälven and is surrounded by a peaceful landscape.

The Swedish sangha acquired the place in the autumn of 2006 and received the name from Sangharakshita when he visited in May 2007. It is an old school with several buildings, the 'school house', being built in 1900 and the 'Teacher's house' in 1921. It lies on a little hill, overlooking fields and beyond them the river Dalälven, and is 150 kilometres from Stockholm. For more information please visit Stockholms Buddhistcenter website.
