Khemaloka is a purpose built solitary retreat hut, situated in the unspoilt countryside of North Norfolk. It is tucked into one corner of our private garden, overlooking a neighbours water meadow and wood. The hut has been carefully positioned to offer a high degree of privacy, with no over-looking buildings. We are surrounded by miles of quiet countryside walks, fields and woodlands, yet easy to access by train (pick up available from Sheringham station).
Khemaloka is bright and homely and has an inside composting loo/bathroom, cold mains water, electricity and gas hob. It offers a simple but comfortable space for practice, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of our tiny, rural village.

A great place for a solitary retreat
I really enjoyed my week at Khemaloka. It has a very simple but homely feel. There is nice secluded spot to sit outside and watch the wildlife come and go. There are also some great walks, with nice views. It a very quiet area and I hardly bumped into anyone during my walks. My only suggestion would be to bring some binoculars as there is nice little hide on one of the walks with a resident heron and it would have been good to have a closer look at! Sam and Pete are very friendly and I felt very much at home.
I've just returned from a lovely week at Khemaloka. Sam was very welcoming and I immediately felt at home.
Although I visited during a cold snap the cabin was very cozy and warm. It was certainly conducive to meditation, ritual , reading and study. I had some great walks and hope to return.
